About This Physics PYQ Book
This book collects 400 previous year questions from RBSE Class 12 Physics board exams (2013 to 2026) and arranges them across all 14 chapters of the rationalised NCERT syllabus for 2026-27. Each question shows the year(s) it was asked and its marks, so you can see exactly how the board tests every topic.
51 questions have come up in two or more board exams. Some, like Gauss's law and Biot–Savart law, were asked five times. Prepare these first.
Each chapter is divided into the same four sections as the board paper:
- Section A: MCQs, fill in the blanks and very short answer questions (0.5–1 mark)
- Section B: short answer questions (1.5–2 marks)
- Section C: long answer questions (3 marks)
- Section D: essay-type questions and derivations (4 marks)
The book comes in Hindi and English medium as an instant-download PDF, and Chapter 1 is free to view as a sample. When you buy it, you also get step-by-step online solutions for all 14 chapters. Open them anytime from My Account after purchase.

Sample Questions from Chapter 1 (Free Chapter)
Q1. The SI unit of electric flux is: (A) N C−1 m2 (B) N C−1 m−2 (C) N−1 C−1 m−2 (D) N−1 C m2 (RBSE 2022, 2025 · 1 mark)
Answer: (A) N m2 C−1
Q2. What is the angle between an equipotential surface and the electric field lines? (RBSE 2026 · 1 mark)
Answer: 90°
Q3. Write the statement of Gauss's law. (RBSE 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2022 · 1 mark)
Answer: The total electric flux through a closed surface is 1/ε0 times the net charge enclosed by it: Φ = q/ε0.
Q4. An infinite line charge produces a field of 4.5 × 104 N C−1 at a distance of 4 cm. Calculate its linear charge density. (RBSE 2025 · 1.5 marks)
Answer: λ = 2πε0rE = (4.5 × 104 × 0.04) / (2 × 9 × 109) = 1 × 10−7 C/m
Q5. Write Gauss's law. Using it, find the electric field near a uniformly charged infinite plane sheet. (RBSE 2013, 2019, 2022, 2024, 2026 · 3 marks)
Answer (result): E = σ / 2ε0, directed away from the sheet (for positive σ).
